Remuneration Intelligence Engine
Net Pay Simulator (NPS) — intelligence, not another salary survey
Salary surveys answer one question: what does this job pay? NPS answers the five that actually matter — what should this person earn, why, what will they take home, what will it cost the employer, and what should we do next.
- Market pay → net pay
- One continuous chain, not two disconnected tools
- Explainable matching
- Every benchmark carries a confidence score and its factors
- Statutory core
- Official SARS tables, versioned by tax year
- Private by design
- Payroll and documents are analysed in your browser
The Remuneration Intelligence Engine
The engine does not display a stored survey row. It reads the position, places it in a peer group, prices it against the market and then carries that number all the way through tax, statutory deductions, benefits and employer cost to a net-pay outcome.
Market pay → net pay chain
- 1. Market total remuneration
- 2. Package structure
- 3. PAYE & statutory deductions
- 4. Benefits & allowances
- 5. Employee contributions
- 6. Employer cost
- 7. Net pay
Confidence layer
Every match reports a confidence figure built from data volume, recency, job-match quality, geographic and industry relevance and statistical consistency — so an estimate is never presented as fact.
Data Trust Engine
Every data point is stamped with source, timestamp, validation state and weight. Duplicates, outliers and implausible submissions are screened out — NPS optimises for trusted data, not volume.
The Evolution Engine
NPS is not refreshed once a year by a survey cycle. Every validated data point, accepted match and manual correction feeds a controlled intelligence loop, so the platform gets sharper between releases rather than staler.

Modules
Job Intelligence
Paste a job description, advert, CV or employee profile. NPS extracts job family, career level, skills, qualifications, management scope and geography, then matches comparable market roles with a factor-by-factor confidence score.
Analyse a jobNet Pay Intelligence
Turn a market total-remuneration figure into estimated net pay, employer cost and package structure — or solve the inverse and find the package that delivers a target take-home figure.
Convert market payInternal Equity & Pay Gap
Upload a payroll extract and NPS flags anomalies, compression, pay inversion, below-peer employees and unexplained variance — each with an action and an estimated correction cost.
Run a diagnosticIncrease & Promotion Simulation
Model flat, market-correction, performance-weighted and critical-skill strategies against one budget. See cost, market movement and what employees actually keep after PAYE.
Compare strategiesBenchmark
Percentiles from validated South African submissions, released only once a peer group reaches a minimum sample so a thin dataset is never dressed up as a market rate.
Open benchmarkNet Pay Simulator
The statutory core: gross-to-net and net-to-gross on the official SARS tables, with PAYE, UIF, medical tax credits, retirement caps and CTC handled correctly.
Open simulatorBuilt to be defensible, not just impressive
Statutory values come from the official SARS tax tables. Benchmarks are released only once a peer group is large enough. Estimates are labelled as estimates. Payroll files and job documents are analysed in your browser and never uploaded.
